an interesting tie-on technique

http://peggyosterkamp.com/weaving-twostick-heading/ I'm not too sure what is going on with blogger since I can only update using HTML. I saw the following link today and found it interesting in tying on to the front apron rod to eliminate knots! http://peggyosterkamp.com/weaving-twostick-heading/ I finished two baby blankets and though they look nice they are very heavy. This has never happened before and I'm not sure exactly what occurred this time. I used 2.2 cotton warp at a sett of 8 and 3.2 cotton doubled as weft. These will be warm blankets!

Since I can't seem to use the photo program I once had I've been taking pictures with my iPod.   Who knew it could be a camera?   I know!   So, I take pictures with that
and often, perhaps too often post those pictures to Facebook but can't save them on the PC, so I'm seeing if I can harvest them and pull them over here.   I thought I had taken this one but I think perhaps Charleen did and posted it to FB.   I'll continue to experiment until I get this down and get back on track with weaving posts.

On that note, I do have a baby blanket on the loom.   Not my usual self dyed, plain weave cotton blanket.  This one is a 1/3 twill, making it weft dominant one one side, warp dominant on the other.   I like the weft side much better but only because the warp is lack-luster, no riot of color.   We'll see what kinds of hoops I have to jump through to get a photo of the finished work posted here.   Obviously it will first have to be posted to Facebook, harvested, filed then uploaded here.   I have no idea how I just did the above picture but I will persevere.  Ha!   It does work.   Above it a large wool throw that I wove a few weeks ago.   It's probably 50" x 80", or there about.   OK, some kinks worked out.

A New Blog

It has been 3 years since I last posted to marie-funnyfarm.blogspot.com.   I can no longer post from there, reasons too mundane to mention, so I'll begin anew.   As to posting pictures again, yet another snafu but one perhaps that can be fixed or figured out in time.

Much has happened in the past three years but instead of boring anyone, should anyone ever find me, I'll begin in the next post.   This first attempt is more a test than a hello!
